Pantry Problems: When Snacks Win, But Fiber Loses

Zara’s made a critical discovery at Veer’s house: a pantry so well-stocked, it practically sparkles. Chips, cookies, namkeen—it’s a snack lover’s dream.

Her gut? Not quite as impressed.

While Zara lounges in crunchy, salty bliss, Omie and the microbes are staging a dramatic collapse. Why? Because there’s no fiber in sight.

It’s easy to forget that our gut bacteria are living creatures—with needs. And one of their top requests? Fiber. That’s their food. When we eat processed snacks without balance, our gut crew starts to run on fumes (or in this case, crawl through a fiber desert).

This strip is a playful nudge that:

• Snacks are fun—fiber is fundamental.
• Microbes don’t mind a treat… as long as they get their greens too.
• Bhujia today? Maybe an apple tomorrow.
