Almond-Chia Drink
Sometimes your body doesn’t want a full snack, it just wants something warm and calming. This little drink is naturally gluten-free, lightly spiced, and incredibly soothing, especially when your system feels a little overwhelmed.
What you’ll need
1 cup warm almond milk
1–2 teaspoons chia seeds
A pinch of cinnamon
(Optional) tiny drizzle of pure maple syrup
A simple way to make it
Warm the almond milk gently on the stove (avoid boiling).
Stir in chia seeds and let them bloom for about 10 minutes. They’ll slightly swell and thicken the drink. Sprinkle cinnamon on top, and if you enjoy a hint of sweetness, add a touch of maple syrup. Sip slowly while warm.
Why it works
Chia seeds bring prebiotic fiber, which your microbes love, and warm almond milk feels grounding and easy to digest. Cinnamon adds gentle warmth and sweetness without overpowering your senses. It’s a cozy “mini-meal” for moments when you want nourishment without heaviness.
When to enjoy
Perfect as a calming mid-afternoon sip, a gentle evening cozy moment, or something light when you’re not hungry enough for a full meal.
