Mindful Jamuns
The kitchen smells like sugar and cardamom.
The gulab jamuns are warm, glossy, and ready.
In theory, this is the moment for slow bites and mindful pauses.
In reality, it’s a holiday kitchen. Plates are out, laughter is loud, and the jamuns don’t wait.
And that’s okay.
Mindful eating means awareness of the food, the moment, and what it carries with it.
Some foods nourish.
Some foods celebrate.
Some foods tell stories.
And sometimes presence matters more than pacing.
Because some traditions don’t need mindfulness.
They already come with it.
