The Gut Whisperer

Zara’s gut has been making a lot of noise lately.
First, it flipped during basketball.
Now, it’s rumbling on the school bench—loud enough that even Aari notices (again).

In this new comic strip, The Gut Whisperer, Zara is starting to realize that gut sounds aren’t just about food.
They can happen because of movement, digestion, hydration, nerves—and everything in between.

Luckily, Omie is right there (clipboard and all) to explain what’s happening inside.

Because here’s the truth:
Your gut has its own voice.
It rumbles, grumbles, gurgles, and shifts—not just when you’re hungry, but when your whole body is responding to life.

Zara’s learning that listening to her gut isn’t weird.
It’s actually the first step to understanding herself better.

And as for Aari?
She’s still getting used to the idea that guts can talk at all—and wondering if Zara’s belly might start answering test questions next. 😂

Why This Matters

For many kids (and grownups!), gut noises can feel embarrassing, confusing, or even scary.
But learning to listen to your body—without shame—is one of the most important skills we can pass on.

Through humor, curiosity, and tiny everyday moments, Zara and Omie remind us:

Your gut’s not acting up. It’s waking up.

All you have to do is tune in.
