Snack Swap Showdown
Zara’s pumped. She’s holding up a shiny, fruit-colored snack bar like it’s a badge of honor:
“Behold: the healthy fruit bar.”
The branding? On point. The wrapper? Loud with promises.
But Misha isn’t impressed.
With a single glance (and a bite of something actually wholesome), she delivers the line of the day:
“Looks like candy with better PR.”
Because here’s the truth: not everything that calls itself healthy… is. Especially in the snack aisle.
Some “fruit bars” are loaded with:
• Added sugars
• Minimal fiber
• Artificial flavors
• And almost no actual fruit
And while the label might say “natural,” your gut bacteria can’t be tricked by good marketing.
So what’s the takeaway?
If it sounds too sweet to be healthy… your microbes are already suspicious.
Shiny doesn’t equal smart. And “real fruit flavor” isn’t real fruit.
Trust your gut. And maybe Misha.
Gut Tip:
Check the first 3 ingredients. If it starts with syrup, sugar, or “fruit concentrate,” your gut knows: it’s dessert in disguise.
